The Real Me By Casey McMillin

The Real Me (How To Tame A Heartbreaker #4)

E-Book Price: $2.99

Rating: 4/5

Review:
I received an ARC from the author for my honest review.

I was so excited for the next installment of this series because I feel like I have been teased with Cam the whole time. Cam is the biggest thing in Nashville right now and I am happy we finally get to know him more than just the guy who gets all the girls and is the life of the party.

I think when the story starts Cam is mid-almost breakdown from being famous. Cam who usually has no problem being in the limelight starts going places alone in disguise to meet people. Almost to prove to himself that people will still like him if he wasn't famous.  Cam finds himself in a bar he usually wouldn't hang out it when he catches a glimpse of the bartender, Jax. Seeing that she is already surrounded by every guy in the place he quickly turns his attention to an easier target but finds himself unable to get Jax out of his head.

Jax is a bartender/student/preachers daughter who is determined that she will not date anyone she works with or meets at the bar. Which seems to work out pretty well for her until she finds herself giving into a certain customer named Cole (aka Cam in disguise).  Cam slowly brings her out of her shell piece by piece which would be fantastic if he wasn't telling her a huge lie about his identity. It's just when is the right time to tell someone that you have real feelings for that from the moment you met them you have been lying?

Loved the concept of the story!! I just can't help but melt at the idea of someone finally wanting to put someone else's wants and needs over their own! I would recommend reading the other stories first just because you will understand the other characters in the story more if you do (and plus you don't want spoilers for them).

Better With Ben (How To Tame A Heartbreaker 3#) By Casey McMillin

Rating: 5/5

Review:
I received an ARC from the author for my honest review.

I was really excited when I figured out this next book was going to be about Ben because after the second book I just wanted to know so much more about him. The story picks up really quick; it's one of my favorite things about this author she jumps right into the story and hooks you in so you don't have to wait a couple chapters to really get into it.

So Ben is Molly's ex-army brother who just came back from war and decides to move in with her. We got a little hint from the last book that he may have an eye for Taylor (one of Hannah's friends from work at the coffee shop). Sensing this attraction Molly doesn't hesitate to play matchmaker between the two of them even though Ben has said countless times that he does not want a girlfriend right now because of the demands of his new job.

Taylor on the other hand who is usually a strong and positive person goes through a pretty traumatic experience right off the bat putting her in more of a fragile state. Taylor still a little nervous from the event really just needs someone to be around her as she still gets scared by herself.

Taylor and Ben become close pretty quick but neither of them really know what to think of it as neither of them are really looking for a relationship. I loved the connection between the two of them it really felt like they entered into each others lives at the perfect time and were able to be what the other really needed.

I don't want to give away anything but I will say that I really enjoyed this story it was a quick fun read that kept putting a smile on my face. We still get a peek into the lives of the previous characters from this story which I love!! I cant wait for the next one, this time we got a hint so we know there will be another one; maybe Cam, maybe Taylor's roommate?!!

A Few Little Scars (How To Tame A Heartbreaker #2) by Casey McMillin

A Few Little Scars (How To Tame A Heartbreaker #2) by Casey McMillin

Rating: 5/5

E-Book Price: $2.99

Review:
I received an ARC from the author for my honest review.

Before reading this book I highly recommend reading the first book in the series because some things you won't understand and well you will ruin the ending of the first book!

So this one has a little love triangle thing going on between Molly; the small town girl with big plans to move to Nashville, Nick; the super rich and successful business dude (I can't remember exactly what he does) and Zeke; the lead singer in a rock band!!

Molly is one of Hannah's (from the first book) best friends from home. So of course we get some more into Hannah and Jason life together!!

At first Molly really has a difficult time visiting Hannah for fear that with the fancy new lifestyle her best friend might not be the same person anymore! Add that she will be in the same room as famous people and she is kind of freaking out! She quickly realizes that Hannah is still the same person she grew up with and relaxes a little with the knowledge that her friendship is still intact but is still pretty intimated to meet all the new people in Hannah's life.

Going out in Nashville and meeting all Hannah's new friends she quickly notices Nick; and after a steamy run in (which I will not ruin for you!!) she can't stop daydreaming about him! She just as quickly realizes that daydreaming is as far as anything will ever go because people like him just do not date people like her. So even with her strong attraction to Nick and the fact that they will run in the same group of friends she doesn't hesitate to jump into a relationship with Zeke! Because well he might not be as hot as Nick, he is the lead singer in a band and really who could blame her.

What I liked in this story was the decision Molly faces; does she go with what feels comfortable for her or take a giant chance on something that she just doesn't see working out?

So once again another steamy romance that will leave you wanting more!! I can't decide what I want for the next book in the series. At first I was thinking I really want a book with either Hannah's friend Taylor or famous country star Cam Bishop but now after meeting Molly's brother (Ben) I want to know his story also!! I am almost thinking a Cam, Taylor, Ben love triangle?!! But then who would I root for?! Ahh all the possibilities!! Can't wait for the next one!!

You're Dangerous By Casey McMillin

Review:
I received an ARC from the author for my honest review.

I found myself smiling a lot during this one and I am not entirely sure why. I think part of the reason was the way the two of them interacted throughout the story; it was adorable.  I just loved how they flirted with each other.

Hannah just graduated high school is ready to spread her wings and test herself in a new city on her own. Jason is a very successful song writer who is used to getting exactly what he wants. I think what bonds the two of them together is how creative they both are.

I really liked Hannah in this story as I thought it was entertaining how she would turn people and certain situations into cartoons often in a comical way to portray them how they really are as opposed to how they present themselves in public. I also liked how she would be confident one moment and then have the "oh crap what did I do" moment not that long after. Because lets face it we have all been in situations with a guy where we decided to put ourselves out there in a moment of excitement and then quickly went "what was I thinking?!!" and search for a place to run and hide.

Jason on the other hand is very confident in himself as he has never really been denied before. Although it is clear the two of them are attracted to each other Hannah can't just ignore his promiscuous past.

Overall a fun read that you will not want to put down!! I had to force myself to put it down one night because it was way past when I should have been sleeping but then couldn't actually fall asleep because I was too excited about the book! I promise you will be in a happy giddy mood by the end of this one!

I can't wait to see how this plays out as a series; will it be Hannah and Jason throughout or are we going to get a new couple every book? I am guessing a new couple but who? I am thinking there could be something with the best friends but we shall see!!

New Series by Casey McMillin!!

New Series!!!

So excited to announce Casey McMillin's new series!! The first book in the series releases today on Amazon which will be at a reduced price all weekend!!

Synopsis:

Hannah Garrison was fresh out of high school when she decided to test her wings and move to Nashville. She came from a family of modest means and had little more than the clothes on her back when she moved. But, she was a talented artist and was just tenacious enough to make it in a new, strange city.

Jason Lane was the golden child of one of the most established families in Music City. He was the definition of Nashville royalty. His father was a renowned country music songwriter, and Jason was following in his footsteps. Although only in his early twenties, he had already written some epic hits and established his presence in the country music scene.

Hannah made no bones about expressing her distaste for country music even though she lived in the heart of Music City. Jason had no problem using his fame and good looks to elevate his status as a player. Neither of them saw it coming, but sparks begin to fly when the two have a chance meeting at a local coffee shop.

Can Hannah get beyond Jason’s colorful past and the baggage that comes with it? Can Jason change his ways and convince himself Hannah is worth more than a one-night stand? This dreamer and heartbreaker might just be stubborn enough to make it happen.

Twisted Perfection Series By Abbi Glines

Perfection Series By Abbi Glines
(part of the Rosemary Beach series)

Rating: 5/5

E-Book Price: $11.98

Review:
I have put off reading this series for a while now as it didn't have the best reviews I have seen of Abbi Glines books and I was scared one of my favorite authors was about to be ruined! Not the case! I loved this series, it is exactly what I expect of an Abbi Glines novel.

Was there similarities between Rush and Woods? Of course. That being said there are many similarities between many new adult male characters; they are overprotective, overbearing, completely obsessed with their new love, etc. Did I think they were too similar to enjoy the series? Absolutely not. Heres the thing with Rush his problem with Blaire is more about him accepting the fact that he is going to be a one women kind of man. This is not the same dilemma Woods faces with Della; he has no problem settling down as long as it is on his own terms. Woods resigned himself to the fact that his father was going to control his life; he just wanted to have a little fun first before he had to marry the girl of his fathers choosing. When he sees Della at a gas station he thinks what a great way to have a little fun and blow off steam since she was just passing through town anyway. When their worlds collide again Woods can't help but question everything his father has set up for him.

The question now is will Woods fight for what he wants and possibly lose everything he has always worked for or succumb to his fathers wishes?

We find in this story that Della and Woods both have a lot they need to work through individually before they can even think about getting into a real relationship. Della was such an interesting character; she has a past that I promise you wont see coming.

And like usual we got to delve more into the characters we all miss from the Rosemary beach series! Abbi Glines writes her books in such a way that you can keep tabs on previous characters without losing the fantasy of the new story.

Ps. Some crazy stuff happens in this book relating to other characters! I ended up reading Grant's book before this and got really confused so I suggest reading this prior to Take A Chance (Grant and Harlow).

Can't wait for her next book!!

Julien's Book by Casey McMillin

Julien's Book by Casey McMillin

E-Book Cost: $0.99

Rating: 5/5

Review:
I received an ARC from the author for my honest review.

Let me start off by saying that I was nervous and a little skeptical to read this one as the author noted that it was different from her other books but I was pleasantly surprised how much I loved this one. So don't worry it is still a new adult love story with all the bells and whistles we love.

I feel like lately the books I have been reading all have the same story so getting to read this one that had such a new creative concept I was having a hard time not rushing the story because for once I didn't quite see where this was going.

Julien is a training to become the next greatest MMA fighter (so yeah hot, muscular and over course protective!!) when he catches the eye of an author who is captivated by his appearance featuring his unique birthmark he is all up for being her next muse. What he didn't expect was for an onslaught of girls coming to the gym pretending to his true love, Nadine. After a while the guys at the gym made a game out of every girl coming in claiming their name was Nadine and would come up with some reason for the girl to show ID proving the lie. Once the girls figured out they would eventually have to give their real names they would never come back.

Like with anything hype eventually died down at the gym and he was back to training his regulars until another Nadine shows up taking the charade a little too far, not matter what he did he couldn't get her to break character and admit she lied.

I really don't want to go into any more details about the story because I feel like each reader should get the pleasure of experiencing it unfold for themselves. Such a great concept from the author and  I am not so secretly hoping this becomes a series!!

Breaking Through The Waves (Hawaiian Crush #2) By E.L. Todd

Breaking Through The Waves (Hawaiian Crush #2) By E.L. Todd

Rating 4/5

Review:
I received a copy from the author for my honest review.

I really enjoyed how this story progressed from the first book. While the first one really was how they fell in love the second really focused on how they grew as a couple. They face challenges much more serious than in the first book that can either make or break a relationship. I mean don't get me wrong there will be enough steamy scenes to get you through ;)

Coen and Sydney are settling well into their new "public" relationship status. They are still trying to be respectful of Henry's feelings but seem to be happy with how their relationship is progressing. Event though everything is great right now Sydney can't help but think how her family and her past are going to affect Coen and not in a good way. We learn a lot more about what happened in Sydney's past and about her insecurities because of it.

I don't want to give away the story but I just loved how united they are as a couple, it seemed like no matter what happened he would be by her side and protect her. I also really liked how strong and independent Sydney is because even though Coen was willing to be her rock she wasn't afraid to be that for herself. For me this story was just as much about a girl finding her way to break from her past as it was a love story.

It was a quick steamy read with a good story line, much like the first book there is just one thing that kept me from giving it a 5/5. I just wanted a little bit more. When I read books I really like to get inside a characters head and feel like I'm living their story, because this author gives you the perspective from both Sydney and Coen it felt like the author was just telling me the story at some points instead of really letting me become part of it.

That being said I really enjoyed Sydney and Coen's story and look forward to more from this author!!

Connected by the Sea (Hawaiian Crush Series) by E.L. Todd

Connected by the Sea (Hawaiian Crush Series) by E.L. Todd

Rating: 4/5

Review:
I received a copy from the author for my honest review.

Well I should have known from the start that I was going to enjoy this one just because of the obvious animal lover quality of Sydney! I loved her personality as she seemed different from a lot of the girls in the books I have been reading lately. She seemed real to me; I felt like she acted like any normal person would act when getting to know someone they are attracted to. Because lets face it most of us could not just walk up to a guy with full confidence and grace and neither could she. I also enjoyed that she is self sufficient with how she lives and how she copes with her past and well me being the slight feminist that I am I can't help but love that about this character.

Her life seemed pretty ordinary before she gets involved with Coen, she hangs out with her friends, Henry and Nancy, she goes to work at the aquarium, is an honor student and also meets with a personal trainer a few times a week. And while it is clear to us that her best friend is in love with her she is completely oblivious until Coen so graciously points it out to her.

When Coen comes in the picture he finds himself being the star of several fantasies for Sydney but she can't help but deny her attraction to him because from his reputation it is clear his is going to break her far worse than her ex did.

When they finally do start to get to know each other Sydney learns that he is nothing like she thought and develops a connection far beyond physical attraction. I mean don't get me wrong the chemistry between them was very hot and made for some pretty good reading they also just seemed to really understand each other in a way I think we would all be jealous of.

Everything would be great if only she never figured out Henry's true feelings for her because as much as she feels this pull toward Coen she can't fathom hurting Henry. For her Henry is much more than her best friend, she really feels like he is as much family as she is ever going to have and losing him is simply not an option.

I just felt like this story brought me back to situations in the past. I think almost everyone has had a point where they had to decide on if what they want is really worth risking something that they love. The only thing on my wish list is that I wish it was longer; I felt like on a couple occasions I wanted a little bit more. I can't wait for the next book to come out to see what happens next!!

Hold Us Close (Keep Me Still #1.5) By Caisey Quinn

E-Book Cost: $0.99

Review:
Although this is a novella and not as long as the first one it was still an amazing read. I loved the first book and this one was no different I randomly started it because I couldn't sleep and I thought hey I will just read a chapter or two and fall sleep. Not the case, I ended up reading until 4 AM when I finished the book!

Such a fast paced continuation of Layla and Landen. There was everything I want in a New Adult book and I actually kind of liked that it was a little short, sometimes you don't have all day to read a book but are really in the mood for a great story.

So it picks up right where Layla and Landen left off; a couple years after they move to another country so Landen can play professional soccer, Layla gets some what she believes is happy news, Shes pregnant! She was so excited to tell him but right when shes about to tell Landen her aunt calls and tells them she was able to schedule a life saving surgery for Layla. Immediately she knows she has to tell her aunt absolutely not as she is pregnant; not exactly the way she wanted to tell Landen but oh well. What she didn't expect was his reaction to the news; finding out that he never wanted to be a father is just the start of many more problems to come in their relationship.

When the first book ends it seems more like a new beginning for him, putting his old life aside to start a new one. In this story we get to see how he is really coping with his past and how his upbringing plays a larger part in his future than he and Layla had expected.

Overall a really good story; just don't read in hopes of getting tired enough fall asleep because you won't be able to put it down!!

Finally! I have been waiting for what seems like forever for this book to come out as the first one is one of my favorite books!

This author has a way with writing that just sucks me in; I literally start reading as fast as I can just to find out what happens next! The entire first book was very faced paced from start to finish and I couldn't put it down much like the first half of this one.

The first half took off right where the first book ended! I couldn't get enough of Camryn and Andrew's love story. I will admit that it did get a little bit depressing because of what they had to go through but it really was a beautiful story.

I just loved how they live the life they feel like living instead of the way they feel they are supposed to live. It was a nice and refreshing take on a relationship one that I bet most of us wish we could have. And of course Andrew could not be portrayed any better; totally swoon worthy.

The only problem I have with this series is that I feel like instead of two books the first one could have just been longer. Not that I didn't want more on this story I just felt like about half way to two thirds through the book its just seemed liked filler. It stopped being a present story and turned into a rehash over the years which didn't really seem to fit the fast paced theme of the series.

Overall this is still a really great story and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good new adult book that isn't afraid of some serious topics. It has all the steamy scenes we all crave while also hitting deeper topics than just a simple love story.

Three Months and You're Mine by Casey McMillin

Review
I received an ARC from the author for my honest review.

Let me start off by saying that I have been a fan of this series since the start but now I am torn to which book is my favorite!

Great fast paced story for those of us obsessed with New Adult books!! It has romance, lust, a girl figuring out what she wants in life and of course a hot guy with abs!!

This story follows Meredith (Collin's sister) and Zack and I just really liked how their story developed. From the beginning it was obvious that they had chemistry but they had a forbidden love thing going on as Zack is one of Collins best friends and has quite the reputation with the ladies.

Zack being the self proclaimed lifetime bachelor was not exactly mortified when Collins little sister, Meredith, texts him asking him to help her gain experience sexually without any strings attached but was hesitant as he knew Collin would just about kill him if he ever hurt his sister.

In Zacks mind he had the perfect soultion; tell her that she had to wait three months to make sure it was what she truly wanted. There is no way she will wait that long so he will be off the hook and now he doesn't have to say no and hurt her feelings.

Which was a great plan until she moved out to LA and was around all the time and he found that he might not be able to resist her as well as he originally thought.

At first they both they both tried to keep it almost like a business deal; Zack continued to encourage Mere to date and find someone who she actually liked to teach her and Mere actually taking that advice and trying to fall for someone.

Throughout the story Meredith went after whatever she wanted and was confident in herself. I feel like in most stories girls can be kind of annoying and always need a knight and shinning armor so it was like a fresh breathe of air.

The continuation from the other stories was also perfect in this book; It let me keep track of what was going on with everyone in the past stories that I fell in love with without losing who the story was actually about!

Ugh I don't know about anyone else but I am developing a thing for swimmer after this series ;)

Review

I received a copy from the author for my honest review.

The third book in the series, Second String, gave hints that the next book would be Josh's story and this was just that. Josh and Brit didn't get along right from the start. He thought she was an elitist hippy while she thought he was annoying know it all.

Brit is art student who kinda does her own thing, dresses how she want and does what she wants without caring what people think. She is a long time friend of Rachels and quickly becoming close with Rachels group of friends.

Josh is always serious and is pretty smart which tends to come across as rude if you don't know him. Josh is part of Collins group of friends/ex-swim team member and is planning to move to LA with the rest of his friends.

Brit and Josh gives the opposites attract saying a whole new meaning. The chemistry between the characters is very passionate and entertaining. And I really liked how they developed a love hate relationship. I also liked how they both dove into new lives and took big chances for their future.

As usual in this series we get to see more of the previous books which I love I just thought this one had a little too much of the rest of the characters in the series. It took me away from the love story at hand. While I did love the Brit and Josh I just wanted a little bit more to fully be immersed into their story.

Overall this is a good series; its fast paced with loads of passion that take you into another world which lets face thats why we read these books!

Can't wait to see whats next!!

Review

This is the first book by this author I have read, while I did enjoy the book and caught myself smiling on several occasions I didn't love the book.

The story starts as Aimee is starting college at the same university as her sister. We know pretty quickly that something terrible happened to her and her best friend a year prior to when the story started and that she is having a really hard time coping.

Aimee works hard to put on a fake front so people leave her alone and in hopes that she will appear to be "normal". Aimee does a really good job of pretending until a certain bad boy player comes in the picture, Cole.

Cole and Aimee are adorable together but a few things for me didn't quite add up; and I know they will seem stupid but it confused me.

For example one of the cute things they do is change the names of movies and come up with an alternate title and story. The other cute thing they do is Cole is trying to educate her on movies since she never watches them and has no knowledge of any movies. This seemed weird to me; how can she name so many movies and then not ever hear of any of the movies he brings. Again wasn't a big deal but at some point I remember being like that doesn't really makes sense.

And while I did like both the characters and of course wanted them to be together I didn't find myself completely engrossed into the story.

Cute quick read but not my favorite.

I was so excited when I got an e-mail tonight from the author about the release tomorrow and even better than that she sent me the book! Although this author did send my the book the review is my honest opinion of the story.

And let me tell you it did not disappoint. So the focus in this book was on Emily and Ethan while of course keeping in touch with the characters from the first two books.

Emily and Ethan share a strong attraction to each other but are determined to keep things casual as Ethan is a well known ladies man and Emily is waiting for her high school sweetheart to get his act together and finally be with her the way she has always dreamed of.

Although they live hours apart they seem to find any reason to be near each other and can't seem to fight the chemistry between them. Ethan and Emily are both a little guarded as they are heading into unfamiliar territory but can't seem to help themselves. At least not until the past threatens to ruin everything.

I also felt a little bit more connected to this story as I could relate to Emily's struggle to figure out who she truly is now compared to the vision she had of herself growing up.

Whew! Overall I loooved this story! I was a little skeptical because again I just wanted more from the previous books but Ethan and Emily hooked me in just as much as Rachel and Gretchen, I was so sad when it ended I just wanted a little bit more.

At the end it did suggest a fourth book was coming our way. I don't know any details but  if i had to guess I would probably say it will be about Josh (Ethan's roommate) but who knows!

Review

So this book is just one of the reasons why Abbi Glines is one of my favorite authors. She has created this series where all the characters are friends so we get the love stories of each of the characters.

This installment is the second book for Cage and Eva but the fifth in the Sea Breeze series.

So the story picks up after a little time goes by from where the first one ended. Eva moves out to Sea Breeze with Cage where they continue their whirlwind romance.

Things are going great for the couple, Cage just accepted a scholarship in another state and Eva plans to transfer schools and follow him out there. Their plans are altered when Eva get bad news regarding her fathers help. Eva decides that she is going to move back in with her father while Cage goes off to college. To say that they are both unhappy with this arrangement is an understatement. Cage would give up everything to be there for her but she doesn't want him to skip out on his dreams and resent her one day.

Without giving anything away; the trust they thought they had with each other is completely shattered after a couple of unfortunate events. Cage and Eva are both riddled with their own insecurities making it difficult for them to do and say what they really want to.

You can expect a strong connection with a lot of chemistry, a disaster of some sort and of corse several steamy scenes as with any Abbi Glines book. She some how has this formula that hooks me in every time. It seems like the stories would seem the same but the author does a really good job of making the character very different people with very different personalities.

Can't wait for the sixth Sea Breeze installment, Misbehaving, set to be released December 17th. Misbehaving will focus on Jason; Jax's younger brother!! Loved him in Preston and Amanda's story so I am excited to see how his story plays out!!

Sea Breeze Order

1. Breathe (Sadie and Jax)
2. Because of Low (Marcus and Low)
3. While it Lasts (Cage and Eva)
4. Just for Now (Preston and Amanda)
5. Sometimes it Lasts (Cage and Eva)
6. Misbehaving (Jason and ?)

Cant get enough of this series! To say that I will go crazy waiting for next book in february would be an understatement!

This is a great continuation from the first book! If it is even possible I love the characters even more than I did in the first book. I have to say this author is growing on me very quickly! Just put another one of her books on my kindle!

So the story starts where the second book ends; Kylie is getting all set to start on tour with two other girls. While Kylie is focusing on her tour Trace is working on fixing his reputation and his addiction to alcohol. They are still crazy for each other (so yes right off the bat you get some steamy scenes similar to the ones we loved from the first book!) and are dreading being away from each other for so long.

During their time apart Trace is on tour with what Kylie likes to call the girl version of him which naturally puts her at unease as she is concerned about his past relationship with her. While constantly worrying about Trace she also has a few of her own problems; her two tour mates are not exactly good friends making the bus a little tense.

Tension runs high between the two of them as the past is threatening to ruin their future.

So I don't want to give anything away so I will leave it at that. If you liked the first book you will not be disappointed with this one!

The next book will be titled, Girl In Love, which will is set to be released sometime in January 2014.

As the story unfolds we start to understand more and more what led to Maggie running off. Will from the start is very obviously still in love with her and will do anything to help Maggie be herself again.

At first is seems like Maggie really wants a life with Will; that is until she really gets to know Asher. Asher is very similar to Maggie; facing a troubled past of his own. Where Will attempts to fix her, Asher lets her fall apart and be herself.

The story hit some really serious topics and at times I felt so bad for her and I couldn't imagine dealing with what she had to but then other parts of the story were just unrealistic.

For example throughout the book it says how every bit of Asher's life is in the tabloids but not once does that come into play in their relationship. You would think that at some point the paparazzi would be following him especially when things pick up a little.

Overall a quick fun read but it wont be making my top ten books anytime soon. I can't quite put my finger on it but it was missing something, I just felt like as much as the character went through I should have cared more than I did.

Review

At last! I have been waiting for what seems like forever for the next installment of the Callie and Kayden series!

The first book in this series was my first read by Jessica Sorensen and it immediately hooked me as a fan! She is an amazing New Adult and YA author! I always look forward to any book she puts out!

Seeing how the first book ended I was not surprised that this one took a very series tone right from the get go. While I will say that the first half of the book left me a little sad it was a great story.

I feel like the first one was mainly about Callie and her struggles and this one really focused on Kayden's. While it still was a love story it hit such serious topics. I just can't say enough how much I loved this book. It left me feeling hopeful because these two people who endured so much throughout their lifetime were able to overcome their past. It really shows how a trauma can weaken a person to their very core but somehow still come out on top and be strong.

Another great book by Jessica Sorensen! I can't wait until her next one!! Seriously do yourself a favor and read one of her books you will not regret it!

It looks like the next book in the series will be, The Destiny of Violet and Luke. Luke is Kayden's best friend from home and Violet is Callie's college room mate. While Luke had always been a huge part pf the series we don't see much of Violet. She has a reputation for being the school slut and seems to try to steer clear of forming actual relationships with anyone. Luke on the other hand seems just as broken as Callie, Kayden and Seth. Especially seeing how this book ended leaving Luke's story wide open I can't wait to read the next installment in this series. While expected to be released some time in 2014 we are still left to wonder the exact date!!

Review

The story picks up right where the first one ends. Penn and Min are figuring out how they are going to get to Rich before he gets hurt. They are able to figure out that Rich bought a plane ticket to NYC using his real name giving their enemies an easy way to find him.

Through a little scheming of their own they are able to find a way to NYC undetected in an attempt to find Rich. They first go to the most logical place they can think of; Rich and Min's fathers house.

This book is very similar to the first in that Rich is constantly trying to push Penn away in an attempt to keep her safe. As more information comes out Penn is realizing that her first instincts about people might be worth paying attention too.

Again Rich and Penn continue to have a strong connection that leads to some steamy scenes. We also learn a little bit more about Min. As Min's character progresses we learn more about the events in her life that lead her to where she is now.

Again it was a good story but I don't think I would put either part one or two on my favorite book lists.
